The unit came packed securely and was shipped and received in good time. It arrived clean and in perfect working order. Both the DVD and VHS play without issue. VHS to DVD dubbing has a small learning curve for the specific unit but performed flawlessly. Some say that to dub from VHS to DVD you need to select VHS on the remote and then dub. This has been found to not be the case for me. I am pleased with the purchase, unit condition, and performance.

Item arrived in good condition. Set up was straightforward with printed manual. However, HDMI connection with either the TV or the audio-video receiver does not work. I tried all the suggested fixes in the manual, even changing out the HDMI cable, but still receive a distorted, green image of broadcasts. I'm keeping it because I suspect the LG unit's HDMI port is not compatible with my equipment (old Sony TV and new Yamaha receiver) unlike my old, kaput Sony DVD/VCR recorder. I get good results in recording and playback through component and optical cables. I can't find a Sony replacement so I'm desperate and will keep the unit.
