I love the player. There are some minor scratches on the unit but you have to look close to find them. Emmanuel that came with it is very legible. My only complaint with the entire thing is the lack of communication after ordering it until I finally received it. I was seriously considering canceling thinking that perhaps I had been scammed due to the length of time before I was notified it was shipping

I am totally pleased with my purchase. The unit arrived quickly and in great shape. The packaging was the best I've ever seen and the tape deck looked almost as good as new. So far I've tried play back on both decks and everthing worked great, I tried recording on deck B and it worked perfectly. I have play many of my tapes with great success. I have had a component stereo system for over sixty years and most of the tapes I have played are over fifty years old and have played perfectly. I am a great fan of older stereo equipment and have had to replace some of my equipment as it failed and couldn't be repaired. The replacement tape cassette deck has pleased me greatly. If any more of my older equipment dies I will certainly go back to Porter Electronics for help.

Since this tape deck is a recent purchase, I can only report that it works well SO FAR. I won't be able to comment on its long-term reliability for quite some time.

Deck arrived in good condition. A few scratches on the top of the unit otherwise it works great. Both A and B play nice sounding music. It was a worthwhile risk to buy refurbished since a new Tascam or Teac deck currently costs $500-$600.
