    Works perfectly and allows me to watch old VHS tapes and new DVDs in one device. It was a used / refurbished unit so it did have a few cosmetic issues and it does not come with any connection cables. Overall a great value.

    Fully satisfied with this equipment. It records and plays tv programs for time shifting,,and plays pre-recorded video both VCR and DVD clearly. I find its control procedures intuitive and easy.

    I am really enjoying my Sony machine. The movies have great resolution. My original remote didn't work. I let the company know and Porter Electronics immediately sent me a replacement. I will be dealing with them again.

    I've had the Sony Combo for a week or so and it works beautifully in conjunction with my Sony TV of the same vintage. I was so happy to find it at Porter, which is a great company who took care of an ordering problem immediately and professionally.

    This is an excellent product for the price. I own one. The DVD and CD player is good. I send the sound to my home theater receiver and it sounds wonderful. The VHS portion plays better than my other stand-alone SONY VCR. What I really liked is that this unit has Quasi-S Playback so I can play my S-VHS tapes. The picture is good. What I found amazing was that the EP record mode (6 hour) looked better than the SP (2 hour). I played some EP recordings made on this unit on my parents' JVC and the picture was outstanding. My only complaint with this unit is that the remote is too small and too "busy" with all the buttons very close together. If you want to watch DVDs, record and play VHS tapes without going beyond that I would highly recomend this SONY unit.
