Sony Hi8 camcorder
I am very pleased with product. I am using this to digitize Hi8 tapes. The camcorder is running great and I am getting great quality output. The cost was very competitive especially with the guarantee.

Purchase and follow up customer service
As a photo restorationist and preservationist I work with all types of media. Photos, 35mm slides, VCR tapes , and 8mm reel to reel tapes mostly.... but recently I had a customer come to me with Hi8 Video she wanted to transfer to MP4 files.... These types of tapes became obsolete years ago and to find a Hi8 player or camera for play back is almost impossible. If I did locate one the prices were crazy, so I had never bought one and I was losing out on a media that needs to be preserved in a better format.....The purchase of a refurbished Sony handy Cam from Porter Electronics was a game changer for my business .... my purchase was easy to complete on line, great pricing, and free shipping too ... When the camera arrived it looked like brand new and included all of the power cords, a new lithium battery and vcr cables ... it also has a 90 day warranty .... Honest business with high quality electronics
I purchased a refurbished a Sony Handycam and the the camera worked perfectly. I transferred over 60 tapes to digital format without any issues. Was worth every penny.
