Bell & Howell 471A 8mm and Super 8mm Movie Projector

Perfect! I needed a Super8/8mm projector and a carousel slide projector for a documentary shoot. Both vintage and refurbished, I was a little nervous ordering online on a short deadline. I had no time for anything to go wrong or the production would have been held up. Rebecca was very helpful in the process. I received the projectors on time and in great condition. They were securely packed in their boxes and they worked as promised. I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

The project was very well packaged for shipping. It performs very well and we've already watched the majority of 8 and super 8 movies that my parents took as far back as 1957. Even the smell of it reminds us of movie night when we were kids. Great purchase! Remember to order with an extra bulb and the extended warranty.

I tried projector half way thru movie bulb. Went out I sent in a message and got a reply and the told me they would send me a new bulb but haven’t received it yet

I am very satisfied with my "new" projector. This is the exact model that I grew up with and know how to use. The click click click sound of the film moving through the machine is strangely nostalgic. The only cause for the 4 instead of 5 star rating is that the take up reel can be a bit wobbly but overall it holds. I've received a shipment of my parents' films going back to the 50s as well as films from our growing up in the 60s and 70s. Reviewing these in advance of digitizing some of them with a different machine is very important. On a couple films, during viewing the film will suddenly shift to reverse and I'm not certain why that happens. I'm thinking it's due to some kink in the film but need to look into this. It has happened just a couple times.
